Making game - continue

So we started to make game now we need characters, monsters and so on. My friend joined me and with his ability to draw made first scary boss...

So i took it and redraw in flash, colored abit and now he looks kinda ok :)

Perhaps it looks nice but 2D game is not what i want...
So i checked how isometry look in other games (Heroes, Diablo 2) - diablo 2 heroes have 15 sides (you can see hero from 15 different angles), and other mobs 7 angles. So if we even use only 7 angles and use only 10 frames for animation it would be 7x10=70 frames only for egz. walking. Of course everyone knows that draw 70 frames on paper and redraw them in flash is insane :)

So we need way to make 3D models and export them to flash. First though i had was Swift 3D, its software what lets u export 3D models made by other programs to flash. Now we have problem with who will make them (3D models) :). My friend knows how to make them but i don't want to give him all work and do nothing, so i decided to look me self how to do it.

My new purchase is book about Autodesk Maya 7.
Maya - its 3D modeling and animation software. With it was made such animations as South Park or Futurama and models for games like Resident Evil.
Gambate (jap.) for me learning how to make 3D models what i will use in my game what i will probably do :)
